Installing bEasy is straightforward.
  1. Download the tarball and unpack it.
  2. The tarball comes with a file, configuration.sam, in the top-level directory. Copy it to configuration.pl, and edit it according to the instructions in the file.
  3. Run the 'install' script in that directory. This will copy all the necessary files to the directories you specified in configuration.pl and tailor them to your URL.
  4. If your webserver is NOT running on the machine you installed on, you'll need to copy/ftp the resulting files onto your webserver.
  5. You're ready! Just point your browser to BEASY_HTML_URL/nav.html to get started.
Note that it's OK to install a new version of bEasy directly over an old one--it will not overwrite your old bookmarks file.
